She is survived by: her children, Luis Hernandez of Lancaster, Angel Mendez of Lancaster, Maria Hernandez Aponte (Philip Aponte) of Columbia, Lourdes Hernandez of Columbia and Barbara T. Hernandez Hammond (Derrick C. Hammond) of Lancaster; her grandchildren, Johnny, Antonio, Victor, Noel, Shane, Tahlia, Derisha, Bryanna, Zasia, Luis, Juan, Margarita and Tristan; and her sister Margarita Sepúlveda of Puerto Rico.
