With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Margaret Wilkins Dodd of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, born in Spartanburg, South Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 30, 2025 at the age of 88. She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Wilkins and Virgie Littlejohn Wilkins. She is survived by: her son Stevie Dodd (Bontle) of Lancaster; her grandchildren, Teto, Sasa and Pati; her great grandchildren, Maya and Katso; her sisters, Hellen Moore of Spartanburg and Virginia Johnson of Whitestone; and her sisters-in-law, Eddie Sue Montgomery of Lancaster, Mary Elizaeth Robinson of Spartanburg, Evonia Anderson of Spartanburg and Dorothy Lee Jeter (Willie) of Spartanburg. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and friends.
Viewing was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Ray's Temple Church of God in Christ (49 S Ann St, Lancaster, PA 17602). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. COVID protocol will be moderately observed.
She was devoted to the Lord and would often lead the charge to secure sponsors and donations to help other churches in the community have successful programs and special events.
