With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Karen Marie Briggs of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, born in Pottsville, Pennsylvania, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 17, 2024. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Hopkins and Elizabeth Hopkins (Gavaletz). She is survived by: her husband Donald James Briggs; her daughter Ashley Lynne Medina (Scott); her grandchildren, Greyson, Bellamy and Wesley Medina; and her siblings, Charles "Butch" Hopkins (Bern), Patti Tropp, Maryann Bierman (Joseph), Kathleen "Kathy" Decker (Larry Kish) and Joanne Horvath (John). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.
