He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Hershey and Elnora Metzler Hershey; his son John R. Hershey; and his sister Verna Landis. He is survived by: his wife Helen Herr Hershey; his children, Beverly Hershey of Lancaster, Karen (Dale Yoder) of McAlisterville, PA, Audrey (Karl Hoffman) and Larry Hershey of Lancaster City; and his sister Lois Yoder of Belleville, PA..
