He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Hershey (Huber) and Lydia Hershey (Kreider); his aunt Anna Kreider (Hess); and his grandparents, Clayton (Sauder), Elizabeth Hershey (Huber), Benjamin Kreider (Warfel) and Leah Kreider (Hess).
He is survived by: his wife Ruth K. Zeager; his children, John D. Hershey (Doug) of Strasburg, David B. Hershey (Jeannine) of Pennsauken, NJ, James K. Hershey (Melissa) of Lancaster and Anita M. Hoover (Philip) of Lancaster; his grandchildren, Amanda Rose, Lisa Anne, Rachel Elizabeth Hershey, Justin Benjamin and Derrick Ryan Hoover; and his brother C. Ray Hershey (Mary Ann).
