He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles H. Byerly and Elsie R. Devonshire Byerly; his wife Judith E. Stoll Byerly; his son Brian S. Byerly; and his sister Jean Kleckner.
He is survived by: his sons, John H. Jr. (Christie Byerly) and Charles H. (Mary Byerly); his grandchildren, Brandon, Mary, Bryant, Joseph and Lindsey; and his sister Marilyn Byerly. He is also survived by four great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 7th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Charles F. Snyder III Funeral Home & Crematory (2421 Willow Street Pike, Willow Street, PA 17584). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 7th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. The military honors was held on Monday, April 7th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
