He was predeceased by: his parents, Harl Audrig Garner and Byrda Faye Pennington Garner; and his siblings, Buford Garner, Mary Virginia Croy and Jo Ann Stonner.
He is survived by: his wife Roberta Jane Kordes; and his children, Julianne Janiszewski (Tim) of Omaha, Nebraska and David Garner (Minda) of Lafayette Hill, Pennsylvania. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
