He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph J. Wert and Victoria Wert (Coldren); his former wife Dolores J. Wert (Sheaffer); his wife Sylvia M. Wert (Martin); his siblings, Marrian V. Wert, Dorothy E. Nagle, Lucy M. Kametz and Joyce E. Rye; and his stepson Christopher Roschel.
He is survived by: his sister Pearl I. Schaefer.
