With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James A. Shope of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 27, 2024. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, James shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid James farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Banner Shope and Veda Shope (Gifford). He is survived by: his wife Nancy Leisey Shope; his daughter Gloria (David Griffith) of Huntingdon, PA; his granddaughter Natalie Rhodes; his great grandchildren, Blake and McKenzie Rhodes; and his sister Arlene Jean Speck.
