Irene A. Shields Obituary

We are sad to announce that on January 21, 2025, Irene A. Shields of Lancaster, Pennsylvania passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As we bid Irene farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Irene is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.

She was predeceased by: her husband Bernard A. Shields; her parents, Andrew Tomko and Mary A. Secosky Tomko; and her sister Eilene Bryan. She is survived by: her children, Christine McCauley (Paul E.), Patricia Shields, Anthony F. Shields (Crystal) and Columbia.

Visitation was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St Peter Catholic Church (121 S 2nd St, Columbia, PA 17512). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
