It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Gwendolyn F. (Garrett) Carter (Lancaster, Pennsylvania), who passed away on October 24, 2024, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Grace Garrett (Greenwood) and Raymond Garrett; her son Jeffrey S. Fry; her husbands, John S. Fry, Sr., Elwood L. Boehler, Jr. and Glenn C. Carter; and her brothers, George R. Garrett and Robert L. Garrett.
She is survived by: her son John S. Fry, Jr. (Cynthia) of Willow Street; and her grandchildren, Declan and Jordan. She is also survived by numerous brothers- and sisters-in-law, as well as nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Charles F. Snyder III Funeral Home and Crematory (2421 Willow Street Pike, Willow Street, PA 17584). A memorial service was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, known for working to protect Florida's natural lands and waters and the wildlife, including Gwen's beloved manatees, http://www.myfwc.com.
