He was predeceased by: his parents, John McElheny and Elsie McElheny (Colyer); and his siblings, John McElheny and Elizabeth Booth. He is survived by: his wife Renate (Schumann); his sons, James "Jim" McElheny (Sheila) of Lancaster and Allan McElheny (Stacey) of Mount Joy; and his brother James "Jim" McElheny (Helen "Cookie").
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Sheetz Funeral Home (16 E Main St, Mount Joy, PA 17552). A memorial service was held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Sheetz Funeral Home, Inc. (16 E Main St, Mount Joy, PA 17552).
