He is survived by: his children, Mary Gerhart and William Michael Gerhart; his grandchildren, Dezalyna Marie Montes, Shardaija Marie Gerhart, Jose Montes, Jr. and Leah Lou Krow; and his great grandchildren, Maxamillion Montes and Osionell Montes.
