He was predeceased by: his wife Patsy Brenneman; his parents, Ira Gerlach and Helen Gerlach (Frey); and his sisters, Grace Newswanger and Verna Wiedman.
He is survived by: his sons, Michael Gerlach (Deb) and Jeffrey Gerlach (Marianne). He is also survived by five grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.
