He was predeceased by: his mother Elsie Stewart; and his brother Samuel Stewart. He is survived by: his daughter Felicia McCain; his close friend Sue Mae Hoberg; his siblings, Aldine Owens (Donna), Ralph "Red" Stewart, Maria Alvarado and Francisco L. Alvarado; and his cousin Laverne Carter. He is also survived by three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
