He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard A. Platon and Ann Platon; his wife Kristine Platon; and his son Randall B. Platon. He is survived by: his children, Kristopher Platon of Lancaster, Natalie Platon (Benjamin Stotsky) of Lancaster, Alexander Platon (Gwyn Asper) of Lancaster and John F. Enright of Lititz; his grandchildren, Breanna, Aubree, Chelsie, John-Jr. and Kennadi; and his great grandchild Emery.
