She was predeceased by: her husband Juan Antonio Mendez; her parents, Carmen Girau and Carmelo Mendez Tellado; her sons, Perry and Michael Mendez; and her brother Andre.
She is survived by: her sons, John Mendez (Maria Angelica Diaz) and Tayding "Ty" Axel Mendez; her close friends, Robert Jackson of Denver, PA and Luis Raul Mendez of Lancaster; and her siblings, Rosita, Lydia, Blanca, Reyita, Victor and Miriam. She is also survived by her 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
