He was predeceased by: his parents, Cletus E. Hess and Anne M. Yusz Hess; his wife Janet J. Neff Hess; and his sister Ann "Snitzy" Fling. He is survived by: his children, Michael Hess (Cindy) of Erie, Gary Hess (Kim) of Erie, Timothy Hess (Veronica) of Lake City, Jeanne Chapman (Richard) of Cambridge Springs, Erin Glover (Daniel) of Nevada and LeighAnn Wychock (Steve) of Ashtabula; and his siblings, Edith "Snorky" Miller (Kenneth) of Erie and Edward "Snuffy" Hess (Judith) of Harborcreek. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
