It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Alys Pitonyak of Lake City, Pennsylvania, who passed away on July 27, 2020, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Melvin Carpenter and Margaret Carpenter (Lewis); her husband Richard Pitonyak; her stepdaughter Robin Pitonyak; her sister Sally Carpenter; and her grandson Christian Gustin.

She is survived by: her children, Steven LaJohn of Lake City, PA and Michelle Gustin (Edward); her stepsons, David Pitonyak (Michelle) and Richard Pitonyak (P. J.); her granddaughters, Brittney Polinchak (Matthew), Alyson Pereira (Michael) and Alexis Gustin; and her great grandchildren, Evelyn Pereira, Adeline Polinchak and Camden Pereira. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
