He is survived by: his wife Martha "Marty" Byers; and his children, Mark Byers of Atlanta, GA, Mary Byers of Tulsa, OK, Mike Byers of Fredrick, MD, Matt Byers of Tampa, FL, Melissa Leonard (Ronda Bowen) of Midlothian, VA, Chris Byers (Suzanne) of Lake City, PA, Liz Byers of Lake City, PA and Christina Shallenberger (Paul) of Millcreek, PA.. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to St. John's Catholic Church.
