She was predeceased by: her husband Garret Van Slooten; her parents, Herman Schaik and Tillie Van Schaik (Vreeland); and her siblings, Herbert, John Van Schaik, Mildred Boerner, Regina Johnson, Joan Payne, Edith Van Schaik and Gloria Molt.
She is survived by: her brother Elias Van Schaik; her children, June Van Slooten of Milford, PA and Gail Pless of Tampa, FL.; and her grandchildren, Barbara, Dennis Luedtke and Robert Pless, Jr..
