He was predeceased by: his parents, Warren P. Batzel and Alice Legg Batzel; and his siblings, Curt Lesher, William Batzel and Avis Black.

He is survived by: his son Warren Batzel (Stacey); his siblings, Allan Batzel (Lorraine), Steven Lesher, Ruth Washine (Bill) and Doug Lesher (Judy); and his grandchildren, Sean and Ryan Batzel.
