It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Marquita D. Maher (Lake Ariel, Pennsylvania), born in Scranton, Pennsylvania, who passed away on October 25, 2019, at the age of 54, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Russell Franklin Chumard and Charlene Henrietta Hahn Chumard; and her brother Edward Chumard. She is survived by: her husband Martin J. Maher; her daughter Mikayla Maher of Claymont, Delaware; and her sisters, Nadine Chumard of Moosic Lakes, Chyleen Chumard of Pottsville and Marcy Podunajec of Waymart. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to a scholarship fund in honor of Marquita's late nephew RJ.
