He was predeceased by: his sister Maryann Canecky. He is survived by: his sons, Joseph Jr. (Kim) and Brandon (Berica) of Brooklyn, N. Y.; his grandsons, Daniel, Bryant and Bennett; and his brother Michael Breier (Barbara). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105. or the Shriners Hospital for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Dr. Tampa, FL 33607.
