It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jerry M. Strackbein of Lake Ariel, Pennsylvania, born in Honesdale, Pennsylvania, who passed away on August 22, 2022, at the age of 61, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Rexford Strackbein and Harriet Roberta Strackbein (Brown); and his half-sister Paula Bland. He is survived by: his wife Christa Meszler; his children, Kelly Hadden (Thomas) of Honesdale and Matthew Strackbein of Honesdale; his siblings, John Strackbein of Honesdale, James Strackbein of Hawley, Charles Strackbein of Scranton, Steven Strackbein of California and Darlene Richards of Lake Ariel; his half-sister Merry Varner of Ohio; his stepsiblings, Jami Miller, Bonnie Bass and Lenard Scofield; and his grandchildren, Caden, Isabella and Colton. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
