He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Madden and Regina Madden; his former wife Rita Schiessl; his wife Dianne; his siblings, Marie Friewald, Jean Laukaitis and Lawrence Madden (Butch); and his stepchildren, Richard Schiessl and Mary Schiessl.

He is survived by: his caregiver Dr. Donald Madden; his brother Patrick Madden; his stepchildren, Arnold Schiessl, Carmela Schiessl, Kathleen Cooper and Danielle Cooper; and his grandchildren, Virginia Rizzie, Lisa Hauss, Christopher Schiessl, Peter Schiessl of Brian Schiessl, R. J, Kelly Schiessl and Autumn Cooper. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and great-grandchildren.
