He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Edward Gunn and Rose Gunn; his wife Aurora Gunn; his children, Rosemary Kennedy (Joe), Cynthia Orme, James T. Gunn, Jr. (Maria) and David Gunn (Alex); his grandchildren, Joseph, Claire Kennedy, Callum, Gareth, Meredith Orme (Kyraen), Lauren, Nicole Gunn, Ever and Reve Gunn-Ferreira; and his child Villanova University.

Visitation was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:15 AM at the St. Eleanor Church (647 Locust St, Collegeville, PA 19426). A burial was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 at 11:15 AM at the Calvary Cemetery (235 Matsonford Rd, Conshohocken, PA 19428). A Mass was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the St. Eleanor Church (647 Locust St, Collegeville, PA 19426). A graveside service was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Calvary Cemetery - Conshohocken (235 Matsonford Rd, Conshohocken, PA 19428).

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Jim's name may be made to St. Joseph's Prep via their website.

“Wonderful memories of you as my babysitter, picking me up after school, and our many “discussions,” neither giving in. My greatest memory of your kindness and compassion was when you assisted my father at my daughter’s wedding, showing him respect by not coming over right away, but then assisting him at the end, ensuring he left the wedding with dignity.
