It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Beverly Jean Shaffer Gast of Lafayette Hill, Pennsylvania, born in Altoona, Pennsylvania, who passed away on May 12, 2023, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her sister Elaine Shaffer Kurtz; her parents, Rex and Catherine; and her brother Robert Shaffer. She is survived by: her sister Patricia (Aaron E. Gast); her children, Gregory (Nancy), Lisa (Fred) and Brian (Tricia); and her grandchildren, Traci (Travis), Ashley (Matt), Travis (Shannon), Andrew (Alessandra), Alexandra, Emily and William.
In lieu of flowers, the Beverly Shaffer Gast Memorial Fund has been established to continue her life's work of educating young people, contributing to Christian faith-based ministries, supporting imprisoned mothers and their families, and promoting outdoor activities.
