She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, George Gowen and Dorothy Brown Gowen; her daughters, Catherine "Kate" Gowen and Claire Gowen; her grandsons, Andrew Gowen and Christopher Long; and her siblings, George Gowen (Paula), Ellen McNeill (Robert), Thomas Gowen and Kevin. She was also cherished by nieces and nephews.

In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Sisters of Mercy, 515 Mongomery Ave, Merion Station PA 19066.
