He was predeceased by: his parents, Nicholas Sabatelle and Ellen Sabatelle; his wife Debra Kunkle Sabatelle; his siblings, James Sabatelle and Judith Sabatelle Hellard; and his close friend Dick Koza.
He is survived by: his children, Richard Christopher Sabatelle of Clarks Summit, PA, Jesse Sabatelle of Newton Ransom, PA, Carie Sabatelle Hildebrand (Paul) of Waverly Twp, PA and Danielle Sabatelle of Easton, PA; his stepchildren, Mark Taluba of Glen Rock, PA, Tony Kunkle (Melissa) of Laceyville, PA, Malindia Fassett (Brad) of Laceyville, PA and Tiffany Kunkle of Tunkhannock, PA; his siblings, Michael Sabatelle (Carole) of Old Forge, PA and Deborah Kuhne (Dan) of Parksley, VA; and his siblings-in-law, Richard Hellard Sr. of Scranton, PA and Anne Sabatelle of Scranton, PA.. He is also survived by several grandchildren, step-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Do to the ongoing corona virus pandemic a private burial will be held at the Lacey Street Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of Flowers a donation may be made in Richard's name to the Goodwill Fire Company, PO Box 207, Laceyville, PA 18623.
