He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Kern and Pauline Kern (Snyder). He is survived by: his wife Margie R. Kern (Leibenguth); his children, Michael Kern (Bryana Steinmetz) of Little Gap and Michelle (Scott Miller) of Kutztown; his grandchildren, Brittany, Mackenzie, Kalli and Caden; his great grandchild Mateo David; and his sister Gloria (Dennis Kreiss) of Enola. He is also survived by many nieces & nephews.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in LaRoy's name to the Pennsylvania Game Commission, c/o the funeral home.

They assigned LaRoy to train me to become a Front Line Supervisor throughout the facility that helped me obtain being a Production Supervisor over time. He became a ""Go To Person"" for me whenever I needed assistance in the facility. Rest In Peace my dear friend and may God comfort you forever in Heaven. Don Nace”
