She was predeceased by: her parents, Clayton S. Reed and Katie L. Reed (Boyer); and her sister Joan. She is survived by: her husband David E. Merkel; her children, Danielle K. Berger (Troy A. Berger) and Matthew S. Reed (Gretchen M. Reed); her granddaughters, Katie, Mikayla and Maya Reed; her stepchildren, Christopher, Jodi and Jacki; and her brother Clayton Reed (Mary Reed). She is also survived by 4 step-grandchildren, 3 step-great-grandchildren.
