He was predeceased by: his parents, Ullman J. Carruth and Marie G. Carruth (Godsey). He is survived by: his brother Michael Carruth (Jeannie); and his nieces and nephews, Cherilyn McCall (Michael) and Melissa Saint-Victor (Daniel).
