With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Daniel J. Smith of Kutztown, Pennsylvania, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 1, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Allen Smith and Mary Smith (Staublein); and his siblings, Allen and Elaine Smith Ambrose. He is survived by: his wife Barbara H. Smith (Morrison); his children, John G. of Kutztown, Joseph (Shellie) and Jennifer (Charles Brensinger) of Kutztown; his grandchildren, Nicole Shrunk (Kyle), Courtney Knauer (Jake), Brandon Bailey, Tanjie Kramer (Cody), Katy Bailey Fiancé of Jordan Blatt, Trista Wehr (Kyle) and Hunter Smith Husband of Lanie; his great grandchildren, Adelina, Chase, Caden and Elena; and his stepgrandchildren, Brody, Kylie, Lucas and Anthony.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, the American Heart Association or St John's Lutheran Church.
