He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Rommel and Catherine Rommel (Kettner); his wife Susan A. Rommel (Hawk); his brother Charles Rommel Jr. (Sandra); and his brother-in-law William Jenkins.
He is survived by: his children, Kelly Diehl (Ryan) of Kunkletown, PA, Robert Steuer (Tina) of Stroudsburg, PA and Brian Steuer (Paula) of Bethlehem, PA.; his grandchildren, Nicholas Snyder (Regina), Crystal Steuer, Faith Steuer, Alley Diehl Hunter Diehl, Logan Diehl, Connor Diehl, Athena Barwick (Dillon), Phoebe Steuer and Olivia Steuer; his great grandchildren, Kilee, Aidan, Peyton, Camilla, Braelynn and Milo; and his siblings, James Rommel (Dorothy) of Manasquan, NJ and Katherine Jenkins of Roselle Park, NJ. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
