He was predeceased by: his parents, Kermit H. Kunkle and Grace M. Kunkle (Reiner); and his daughter-in-law Jan Kunkle (Jamison). He is survived by: his wife Adele M. Kunkle (Wentz); his pet Nami; his children, Iris (John Neilon) of Fitschburg, Mass., Holly (Darry Messinger) of Whitehall and Daniel Kunkle of Bartlett Tenn; his sister Marlene (Franklin Neff) of Parryville; his grandchildren, Caleb, Abigail, Josiah, Benjamin, Hannah, Zachary and Daniel; and his great grandchild Kaia.
