He was predeceased by: his parents, Merle J. Mong and Geraldine Mae Cotherman Mong; his son Barry Mong; and his sister Shirley Mong. He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Ann Overett; his children, Karen Akam (Randy) of Union City, Kevin Mong (Kelly) of Venus and Sharon Roberts (Joel) of Hydetown; his grandchildren, Keith Akam (Leah), Scott Akam (Sarah), Benjamin Akam (Elizabeth), Tyler Akam (McKayla), Nicholas Mong (Ashley), Chayce Mong, Kallie Mong, Tobyn Mong and Jett Mong; his great grandchildren, Tahmona and Brantley; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Keira and Carter.
