She was predeceased by: her parents, Dock D. Downing and Nina Downing (Barr); her son John Yazell; her former husband Kenneth Yazell; her husband Adrian Smits; and her brother Jackie Downing.
She is survived by: her significant other Charles H. Lingle of Knoxville, PA; her children, Mark Yazell of Carlisle, KY and Kendra Philpot; her adoptive children, Catherine of Knoxville, PA, Cheryl of Westfield, NY, David of Ellicott City, MD, Jim Cutaiar of Nelson, PA, Diamond and Mattie; and her siblings, Nellie Jones of Paris, KY and Doug Downing of Paris, KY.. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 5 adopted grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren.
