He was predeceased by: his parents, John R. Whitesell and Mary E. Miller Whitesell; his wife Marsha K. Haxton; and his brother Robert M. Whitesell. He is survived by: his sons, Geoffrey Whitesell (Andrea) of Westfield and Johnny Whitesell (Julie) of Cowanesque; and his siblings, Terry Whitesell (Anita) of Mt. Joy, Sharon Kennedy (Frank) of Knoxville and Carol Cook of Osceola. He is also survived by five grandchildren; a great-grandson.
