He was predeceased by: his mother Mattie M. Kagle of Strattanville, PA.; his half-brother Blenton Kagle (Charlotte); his significant other Rose Marie Walney; his parents-in-law, Gloria and Eugene Walney; his brothers, Bob Slaugenhaupt, Butch Walney and Bob Shaffer; his sister-in-law Lois Shaffer; and his close friend Bobby Botts.
He is survived by: his sons, Lawrence Goughler (Barb) of Shippenville, PA, Donald Goughler (Merlea) of Knox, PA and Wally Goughler (Linda) of Kossuth, PA.; his grandchildren, Kari Best (Jason), Mattie Stewart (Andrew), Kalyn Goughler (Joey Bruce) and Chance Goughler (Ashley Custer); and his sister-in-law Francis Slaughenhaupt. He is also survived by many Nieces and Nephews.
