He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert O. Best and Pollyanna Black Best; his wife S. Darlene Thomas; his sister JoAnne Sulkowski; and his daughter-in-law Laurie Best.
He is survived by: his sons, John R. "Jack" Best (Stephanie) of Knox, Timothy W. Best (Joyce) of Knox and Patrick L. Best of Emlenton; his grandchildren, Cody Best, Allen Best, Cassidy Best, Nathan Best (Danni) and Lainie Best; and his great grandchildren, Lennix Best, Eliana Kramer and Sophia Chapman.
