He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Raymond Bernesser and Edna Mae Bernesser; his siblings, Eugene Bernesser, Jean Harkiewicz, Edna Mae Thomas, Raymond Bernesser, Robert Bernesser, Patricia Ruby and Donald Bernesser; his wife Eileen Bernesser (Evans); and his children, Catherine Bernesser (Hannigan), Luke Bernesser (Aileen), Donna (James House), Tom Bernesser, Norman Bernesser (Edith), Jean (Steve Shaffer), Julie Ann (Ted McLaughlin), Mariana (Larry Chambers), George Henry Waibel (Nora), Victoria (Ed May), Laura Ann (Jeff Plaisted) and Jennifer McLaughlin. He was also cherished by His children gave him 16 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
During the COVID-19 Pandemic, he and Eileen spent a lot of their time together writing encouraging letters to neighbors, friends, and family members about the Paradise Earth he hoped to live in.
