He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles A. Ritts and Florence Master Ritts; his grandson Joshua Skudlarek; and his sisters, Bonnie Jack, Janice Altmire, Zella Robertson and Wanda Van Steenberg.
He is survived by: his wife Rachel Ellen Ashbaugh; his children, Pamela Skudlarek (James) of Salamanca and Joseph Ritts, Jr. (April) of Weedsport; his siblings, Margaret Chadman, Jean Ausel, Patricia Knoll, Linda Rowe, Roger Ritts and Allen Ritts; and his nephew Robert W. "Robby" Ritts. He is also survived by six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
