He was predeceased by: his parents, Donly "Bud" Metts and Rose Metts; and his sister Sherri Lynn Metts. He is survived by: his stepchildren, Ebony Dixon of Greenville, N. C. and Brandon Dixon of Ayden, N. C.; his stepgrandsons, Traylen Dixon and Jaaylen Brown; and his siblings, Bud Metts of Nickelville, Frank Metts (Mary) of Knox, Jess Metts (Ronda) of Knox, Sis Webb (Rick Summerville) of Shippenville, Janet Hurrelbrink (Mike) of Nickelville, Joni Yeany (Greg) of Knox, Edie Metts (Jack Nicewonger) of Knox and Merlea Goughler (Don) of Knox. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
