He was predeceased by: his parents, Horatio Harnish and Dorothy Harnish; his wife Helen; his daughter Cindy Rader; his stepfather Walter Confer; his siblings, Ronald, Leroy (Roy), Meryl (Skip), Richard, Goldie Harnish and Violet Theur (Toot); and his siblings-in-law, Geraldine Harnish, Marian Harnish, William Cunchula and William Steele.
He is survived by: his children, Brenda Ciancio (Robert), Patty Hildenbrand (Wayne) and Jeff Harnish (Judy); his son-in-law Brian Rader; his grandchildren, Jennifer, Christopher Manson, Christine Rost, Amanda Hildenbrand, Tamara Rader, Nicholas and Emily Harnish; his great grandchildren, Tara, Marissa Didolce, Everly, Conor Manson and Emily Rost; his sister Mildred Steele; and his sister-in-law Jean Pilot. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
