He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Craig and Leddie Arvella Shields, Sr. (Futscher). He is survived by: his wife Sandra P. Shields (Corbett); his children, Jennifer Pauline Shaffer (Lester) of Georgetown, DE and Robert "Bobby" Craig Shields III (Donyel) of Summer Shade, KY; his grandchildren, Taylor, Mitchell Shaffer of Georgetown, DE, Arvella and Rebel Shields of Summer Shade, KY.; and his siblings, Carl Shields, John Shields, Naomi Harris, Goldie Davis and Maryann Kossler Robert.
