Joan Barbara (Ayotte) Sarambo Obituary
Joan Barbara (Ayotte) Sarambo age 80 of Kittanning Pennsylvania passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on Saturday December 31st, 2022, after a long battle with Alzheimers Disease.
She was born in Bridgeport CT April 15th, 1942, to her late parents Philip E. Ayotte and Jeanette (Martin) Ayotte of Milford CT.
She attended high school at St. Mary's school in Biddeford, ME and continued to a secondary education in a Secretarial career at American Airlines School in NYC. Later she worked at GE in Bridgeport and moved to Kittanning PA in 1977 where she worked 22 years and retired from the Kittanning Police Dept. After her formal retirement, she worked part time as a driver for the Progressive Workshop of Kittanning.
She was a lung cancer survivor and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Her hobbies included bowling, bingo, sewing, knitting, crafts, crossword puzzles, reading, gardening and when she was young, she was an avid ice skater and swimmer.
She was predeceased by her sister Bonita Lynch of Longs, SC. She is survived by her brother Martin Ayotte and his wife Sandy of Apex, NC, her sister Cheryl (Ayotte) Parker and her husband Willard of West Haven, CT, her brother James Buxton and his wife Mary of Wisconsin, her daughter Deborah Nemec and her husband Ron of Southbury, CT, her daughter Brenda Sarambo-Confer and her husband Steve Confer of Kittanning, PA, her daughter Kathleen Wise of Kittanning, PA, her five grandchildren Stephie Hanford, Jack and Joseph Crissman, Ronald Nemec III, and Gerald Wise III, four step grandchildren, Mandy Wise, Travis, Audrey, Lance Confer, five great grandchildren, two Aunts, many nieces, a nephew and many cousins.
A Celebration of Life event will be held in April 2023. A specific date will be announced.
