He was predeceased by: his parents, James Smith and Esther Smith (Johnson); and his brother Jay B. Smith. He is survived by: his siblings, James Smith of Apollo, Jill Fleske (Bill) of Titusville and Jennifer Cowan (Jeff) of Brackenridge; and his nephews, William Fleske, Timothy Fleske, Philip Cowan and Matthew Cowan.
