She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry James and Ethel Laura Black (Champion); her husband Norman Lee Grafton; her siblings, Arnold, Richard, James, Donald Black, Betty Toy, Sandra Bowser and Donna Barnett; and her grandson Levi Grafton.
She is survived by: her sons, James Szalankiewicz (Lucinda) of Shelocta, Dirk Grafton (Beth) of Indiana, Eric Grafton (Francie) of Oil City and Cory Grafton (Courtney) of Kittanning; and her sister Rose Davis (Ralph) of Saxonburg. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Joan's honor to the Furnace Run Chapel 154 Montgomery Road, Kittanning, PA 16201.
