He is survived by: his children, Amy Sheaffer, Karen Sheaffer and Derek Sheaffer (Thomas Fox); his stepchildren, Deanna Shupe (Adam), Blaine Van Horn, Shawn Van Horn and Dawn Lane (Don); and his sisters, Deborah, Connie and Lisa. He is also survived by five grandchildren; several step grandchildren; several step great grandchildren.
